Motorcycle racers targeted

Young motorcycle racers may take police warnings more seriously if a new tire puncturing device is put into use on Bangkok streets.
Thailand's new national police chief Adul Saengsingkaew istaking aim at one of the country's most dangerous groups: street motorcycle racers.
Street racing ‘‘is a blatant violation of the law’’, he said yesterday. ‘‘If the police fail to stop it, more people will follow suit and racing could become an acceptable trend among youngsters.’’
