Australia - Firebombers caught by bikie's camera

OFF THE WIRE
Police are trying to determine who has an axe to grind against WA's biggest bikie gaxxx after three firebombings at properties linked to the Rebels.

The first two attacks were at 2.15am and 2.25am on Saturday, September 29 - the day after more than 90 Rebels bikies left Perth to join their comrades on the club's annual national run in NSW.

It is understood the first property targeted by the arsonists was the Balcatta home of Rebels WA president Nick Martin.

In that attack, arsonists threw a Molotov cocktail at a car parked outside the property.

In the second attack, a car parked outside a Balga home was gutted by fire.

The third attack - about 1.35am on Monday, October 1 - destroyed a Holden Crewman utility and singed a Hyundai Tucson parked outside a Parmelia home.

The vandals also spray-painted the words "Rebel dog" on a fence at the front of the Parmelia property.

Police yesterday released security camera footage of the Balcatta attack.

The three men sought were described as being between 155cm and 185cm tall, and two were wearing balaclavas.

Det-Sgt Jason Blaine said that police could not rule out whether Rock Machine bikies were involved in the firebombings.

That gaxxx was involved in a bitter feud with the Rebels but the war appeared to have lost momentum late last year after the jailing of high-profile Rock Machine members.

Other Rock Machine members are believed to have quit the gaxxx to form the Perth chapter of an international gaxxx called the Mongols.
