Ontario Canada - Police looking at who came for dinner

OFF THE WIRE
The Horsemen Motorcycle Club threw a big party near Ridgetown Saturday and everyone attending the function had to go through a police checkpoint.
By mid-day, about 20 officers from the OPP Biker Enforcement Unit, Chatham-Kent Police Service Intelligence Unit, Sarnia Police Service and RCMP were visible in two locations on Kenesserie Road ‑ at and near ‑ Reeders Line.
“A member of the Horsemen owns property here and it's their annual Smokefest,” OPP Det. Sgt. Mark Wollocombe told The Chatham Daily News.
Wollocombe predicted 500 people would attend the club's 10th annual pig roast.
“There will be 100 full-patch Hells Angels and 1% (outlaw motorcycle gxxg) here from Windsor, Kitchener and London,” Wollocombe said.
Officers could be seen asking for identification from those arriving on bikes and in cars.
Other police were photographing attendees as they stopped at the checkpoint.
Wollocombe said officers were also visually inspecting the mechanical fitness of all vehicles and ensuring no one was wanted on an arrest warrant.
The purpose of the exercise was to maintain the peace and create public awareness, he said.
“If outlaw motorcycle gxxgs fraternize, we are monitoring it. For the most part they are cooperative.”
A request by The Daily News for comment from the Horsemen Motorcycle Club was declined.
